Dear Mr Leshoro,
Inputs into the Agricultural Policy Action Plan (APAP) towards a final consultation meeting on APAP refers.
The APAP document was presented to the Red Meat Industry Forum Council for comment. Our input is tracked in the attached draft as per the request.
Historical performance of the department has shown to be sluggish in the implementation of new policies and we are of opinion that objectives that are set out in the table on page 113 are too optimistic and unattainable in the period allocated and propose that the time frame be extended to 2030.
