Die vry-aan-boord-prys vir April 2024 was R54,50 p/kg. Dit verteenwoordig ‘n styging van 27% in prys per kg as dit vergelyk word met April 2024. Die meeste invoere was van Namibië met 283 ton.
Lewendige speenkalf-invoere het 26 637 eenhede in April 2024 beloop, wat ‘n toename van 1,4% verteenwoordig as dit vergelyk word met April 2023. Die prys was R6 715,56 per eenheid, wat 3% laer is as die prys wat in April 2023 gerealiseer is.
Skaapvleisinvoere vir April 2024 het 678 ton beloop; ‘n styging van 119% as dit vergelyk word met April 2023. Die vry-aan-boord-prys was R29,96 p/kg, wat 18% laer is as die April 2023-prys. Die meeste invoere was van Australië (430 ton).

The free-on-board price for April 2024 was R54.50 p/kg. This represents an increase of 27% in price per kg if compared to April 2024. The major imports originated from Namibia with 283 tons.
Live weaner imports for April 2024 amounted to 26 637 units, representing an increase of 1.4% if compared to April 2023. The price was R 6 715.56 per unit, which is 3% lower than the price realised in April 2023.
Sheep meat imports for April 2024 amounted to 678 tons; an increase of 119% if compared to April 2023. The free-on-board price was R29.96 p/kg, which is 18% lower than the April 2023 price. The major imports originated from Australia with 430 tons.
Live sheep imports for April 2024 amounted to 87 396 units. This represents an increase of 10% if compared to April 2023.The price was R1 115.69 per unit, which is 7.5% lower than the April 2023 price per kilogram. Namibia was the major exporter to South Africa with 87 396 units.
